Job Description
We're working alongside a well-established construction and engineering company in order to find them a Gateman/Site Assistant for their 400kV substation project in the North Hertfordshire area.
This is a contract role starting ASAP and lasting until 18/12/2026.
This is an outside IR35 role and you MUST have an NSI8 authorisation as it's a live substation project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the site team with the day-to-day upkeep of the site, including generators and general site housekeeping
- Tending the main access gate
- Escorting vehicles in accordance with National Grid Safety Rules.
- Taking of deliveries
- Supporting the Site Management and Supervision teams along with other tasks as and when requested by the Site Manager
- Work closely with the Site Management team to ensure a safe and effective delivery of the project
- To maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively
- Comply with relevant company HSQE and welfare policy provisions
