We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and conscientious Commercial Vehicle Technician to join the Aftermarket Department at the Middlewich Depot, working Friday to Sunday inclusive from 6am to 6pm. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the main job function will be to undertake maintenance and repair activities on commercial vehicles/trailers of all types, to diagnose faults, carry out tests on vehicles and effect permanent and complete repairs. Other duties within the role will include: Completing paperwork and procedures relating to warranty, contract & retail work. Preventative maintenance work to minimise unnecessary customer costs. Any other duties reasonably within your capabilities as instructed by your manager. The successful candidates will have the following qualifications, skills and experience: Obtained a City & Guilds or other adequate qualification to NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance. Experience in the diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repair of vehicles, experience of working on Commercial Vehicles is required. Organised and methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail. Undertaken manufacturers training courses and maintained knowledge of work methods and technical data. Full and current UK driving licence, an HGV licence is preferred but not essential. A friendly, confident and professional manner with excellent communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a larger team as well as on their own initiative. Late Shift Supervisor Location: Kidderminster Salary: 54,000 - 57,000 OTE Hours: Monday to Friday 12:30pm - 10:00pm The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Late Shift Supervisor to lead an established workshop team, ensuring commercial vehicles are maintained safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard. The Role As Late Shift Supervisor, you'll be responsible for leading the afternoon and evening workshop operation, ensuring technicians are working effectively, repairs are completed to a high standard and customer expectations are consistently exceeded. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and supporting the workshop team throughout the late shift. Working closely with the Workshop Controller to allocate work efficiently. Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles. Diagnosing faults and identifying worn or defective components in line with DVSA standards. Ensuring all repairs are completed safely, accurately and within agreed timescales. Completing workshop documentation and job cards accurately. Using Keyloop/Kerridge workshop management systems. Maintaining excellent communication with colleagues and customers. Promoting a positive, motivated and professional working environment. About You To be successful in this role you'll have: Level 3 NVQ, IMI or City & Guilds qualification in HGV or LCV Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. Previous experience supervising or mentoring technicians. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding ability. High attention to detail.
