Optical Assistant job in Greater Manchester

Location: West / Greater Manchester
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £32,000 (depending on experience) + monthly bonus

We're working with a highly regarded independent optical practice known for its beautifully curated eyewear collections, premium patient experience, and a real passion for style-led dispensing.

Important Requirement:
You must have a minimum of 6 months' experience working within optics. Applications without this will not be considered.

The role

• Dispensing eyewear with a strong focus on style, fit, and patient confidence
• Supporting smooth pre-screening where required
• Delivering warm, engaging patient experiences from start to finish
• Helping patients choose frames that truly suit their lifestyle and personality
• Contributing to a positive, welcoming in-store atmosphere
• Supporting the wider patient journey across optical, audiology, and aesthetics services

What we're looking for

• Minimum 6 months' experience within optics (essential)
• Someone with a natural eye for style, fashion, and frame selection
• A confident communicator who enjoys building rapport quickly
• A warm, personable approach that puts patients at ease
• Someone who enjoys being part of a lively, collaborative team
• A proactive attitude with a focus on experience rather than admin-heavy work
