You will support the team with the collation and processing of data for schedule updates (into and out of AIT). Tatas Corby works are seeking a Supply Chain Planner to assist an established team with material and production planning, liaison with internal stakeholders and maintaining an accurate database. The successful applicant will be an individual with strong IT literacy, a proactive nature and previous experience working with stakeholders of all levels. Role - Supply Chain Planner Pay - 28,000- 33,000 per annum (based upon experience) Hourly this is 14.75 - 17.39ph Location- Tata Steel, Weldon Rd, Corby NN17 5UA 100% office based with the view (after training) to offer X2 days remote working Shift pattern- Mon-Fri 07:30-15:30, 36.5 hours per week (breaks unpaid) Duration- 6 months initially with the view to extend or offer a permanent role Start - ASAP but pending the successful result of a medical, which does include a Drug and Alcohol test Responsibilities: Pre plan shipments (where possible) referencing the Master Production schedule Liaising with the production teams to ensure effective delivery of production Monitoring agreed costs against supplier invoices Using the planning tools and software systems accurately Closely working with stakeholders to maintain and exceed service standards Identifying failure against plan and deliveries and recommending resolutions accordingly Identifying potential peaks in customer demand and proposing corrective actions accordingly Supporting the Customer Service and Commercial team functions to ensure product availability and delivery Providing weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports as requested on customer and trend analysis Communicating with Production Managers on a daily basis via telephone and email Using MS Excel at an intermediate level including formulas, vlookup and pivot tables Adhering to UK Health and Safety Legislation at all times Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the department Experience needed: Prior experience in Supply Chain/Planner/Scheduler role Capacity to operate with minimal supervision Strong IT literacy skills including MS office, especially Excel Experience with in house IT systems Confident telephone manner Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Previous experience using SAP (desirable) Benefits: Advice and editing on your current CV Dedicated team throughout your journey within the role Paid holiday Exclusive online services including restaurant and retail discounts Chance to receive 300 for referring a friend Opportunity for progression into permanent roles Competitive rates of pay All applicants are subject to checks including but not limited to: Right to work check, Medical assessment, Drug and Alcohol Test and reference checks.
