Our client, a well-established and growing organisation, is seeking a detail-focused Bookkeeper to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This role offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time working arrangements being considered.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised finance professional looking to take ownership of a varied bookkeeping role within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. As the Bookkeeper, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the wider finance function, and providing reliable information to assist with the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Working closely with colleagues across the business, you'll enjoy a varied workload, genuine responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements while continuing to develop your accounting expertise.

The responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are correctly processed
• Complete bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
• Manage purchase ledger activities, including invoices and supplier payments
• Reconcile income, payments, and financial transactions across multiple areas
• Support month-end reporting and general accounting processes
• Assist with financial analysis and preparation of supporting information
• Liaise with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and external contacts
• Identify improvements to enhance finance processes and controls

The candidate:

• Previous experience within bookkeeping, accounts administration, or a similar finance role
• Confident using accounting software, ideally Xero or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, purchase ledger, and transactional finance
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional communicator with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
