BPA operates a CNC machine shop producing high-precision aerospace tooling, and ground support equipment components and assemblies, to tight tolerances and strict quality standards. We supply Leonardo Helicopters and GKN Aerospace - customers whose requirements leave no room for error. You should have a good cross section of CNC Machining experience to include Milling, turning, programming (Siemens and Fanuc controls), and ideally grinding. The role will involve prototype and small batch machining of parts and creating jigs and fixtures. Any offline CAD/CAM experience will also be an advantage (PowerMill exp beneficial but can cross train). You will perform inspection of parts and general basic upkeep of the machines. Quality, consistency, and attention to detail are non-negotiable. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Set up and operate CNC milling and/or turning machines (3-axis and above) to produce components from engineering drawings. Work to tight tolerances and aerospace quality standards (AS9100 environment). Carry out in-process inspection using standard metrology equipment (verniers, micrometers, CMM as appropriate). Our client has an opportunity for a Supply Chan & Quality Manager to join them on a contract basis until December 2026. You will be responsible for the suppliers performance monitoring. Role : Supply Chain & Quality Manager Location : Derby - fully onsite Hours : 35 per week Hourly Rate : 41.00 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35 Clearance : BPSS required to start What you'll be doing: Supply Chain Management Suppliers' performance monitoring. Load and capacity analysis. Rate readiness analysis. Supply chain intelligence management. Transfer of work management. Design change industrialisation management. Quality Management Correction: non-conformity eradication (Events / SARI / QSR / Concessions) Prevention: implementation and management of APQP and quality improvement plan (SQIP) Risk Management Risks identification and assessment Mitigation plan definition and execution Governance Required Skills: Strong understanding of supply chain, manufacturing engineering and quality Good understanding of safety quality topics Efficient and proactive communication Strong stakeholder management ability Industrial background and culture within aerospace industry Data analysis and synthetic reporting Practical problem solving Crisis and recovery management Project management basics If you are interested in applying for this position and you meet the requirements, please apply immediately!
