Soldering Technician

Job Title: Soldering Technician Location: York Salary: £12.71 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (flexible start/finish times) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Soldering Technician to join a successful and growing organisation based in York. Working within a modern facility, you will play a key role in the production process, carrying out soldering and assembly work to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, accurately and to the highest quality standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in soldering, electronics assembly, manufacturing or a hands on production environment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical skills within a supportive and forward-thinking business. Responsibilities of Soldering Technician:

• Carry out soldering and electronic assembly work in line with company procedures and quality standards
• Assemble components accurately using hand tools and production equipment
• Complete visual inspections and quality checks on soldered components and finished products
• Follow technical drawings, work instructions and production specifications
• Ensure soldering equipment, tools and workstations are maintained and ready for use
• Accurately complete production records and documentation
• Identify and report any issues affecting quality, workmanship or production output
• Handle components and materials carefully to minimise damage and waste
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised working environment
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
• Work closely with colleagues and team leaders to meet production requirements and deadlines

Skills & Experience:

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and consistently
• Good manual dexterity and hand eye coordination
• Ability to carry out precise, detailed work for extended periods
• A practical and technical mindset with a willingness to learn new skills
• Ability to follow technical instructions, processes and procedures carefully
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities
• Positive, reliable and team focused approach
