Air Freight Export Operator (Nights)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Air Freight Export Operator to join a leading global freight forwarding business based at London Heathrow.

Working within a busy overnight export operation, you will manage international air export shipments from booking through to departure, ensuring documentation, customs requirements and airline bookings are completed accurately and efficiently.

• Manage the complete air export process from booking through to departure.

• Complete export customs entries accurately and independently.

• Prepare and process export documentation, including MAWBs, HAWBs, customs paperwork and commercial documentation.

• Coordinate airline bookings and liaise with handling agents, hauliers and overseas offices.

• Monitor time-critical shipments and proactively resolve operational issues.

• Provide customers with regular shipment updates and maintain excellent service levels.

• Ensure shipments comply with relevant HMRC, airline and international export regulations.

• Maintain accurate operational records and complete files within agreed timescales.

• Previous experience within Air Export Freight Forwarding is essential.

• Strong knowledge of export customs entries and air freight documentation.

• Experience working within a busy, time-sensitive freight forwarding environment.

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple shipments.

• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.

• IT literate with experience using freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office.

• Experience handling pharmaceutical, temperature-controlled or perishable cargo would be advantageous but is not essential.

• Salary of £40,000 - £44,000, depending on experience.

• 4 on / 4 off night shift.

• Working hours of 18:00 - 06:00.
