To be successful as a Housing Officer you will need: Previous experience in housing management, estates, tenancy management, homelessness, property services or a similar role. Experience working directly with tenants and managing housing-related issues. Knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management and regulatory requirements. Experience dealing with estate inspections, ASB, environmental issues or complex tenant situations. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage a busy patch independently and prioritise competing demands. Good IT and administration skills, including experience using housing or case management systems. Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. Knowledge and experience of working with Awaab's law and Housing Ombudsmen code. Experience with Northgate or similar housing systems is desirable but not essential. What's on offer: Temporary contract initially for 2 months, with potential extension. 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
