Job Description

A leading theatre and production company is looking for an experienced Production Finance Manager to join their production finance team during a period of change and development. This is a varied role combining day-to-day financial oversight with process improvement, systems and controls, and the opportunity to make a real impact across the wider production finance function.

Responsibilities:

  • Document and develop a strong understanding of existing finance processes and systems across royalties, investor management, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial accounting
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations to improve efficiency and controls
  • Lead and deliver process improvement projects across the finance function
  • Maintain and oversee balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation
  • Oversee company management and associated financial processes
  • Review and approve payments in line with internal controls
  • Support the wider production finance team with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure processes are well understood, documented and consistently followed

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Ideally previous experience within theatre, live entertainment, production or a similar creative industry environment
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, controls and accounting principles
  • Good knowledge of UK tax compliance and accounting requirements
  • Proven experience of reviewing and improving finance processes and controls
  • Experience leading process improvement projects and maximising the capabilities of existing and new systems
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across a business
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a changing environment
