Job Title: Front Office Aladdin Consultant
Job Description
The Front Office Aladdin Consultant supports the Front Office workstream throughout the Aladdin implementation life cycle. This role focuses on defining target-state workflows, validating investment processes, supporting platform configuration and testing, and serving as a central coordination point between portfolio management, trading, risk, technology and implementation teams within an asset management environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the full Aladdin implementation life cycle for Front Office functions, from initial design through to go-live and post-implementation stabilisation.
- Help define and refine target-state investment workflows across asset classes, ensuring they align with Front Office requirements and best practice operating models.
- Validate existing investment processes and recommend improvements to support a front-to-back platform transformation.
- Prepare for and lead business process review workshops, including analysing current-state materials, designing target-state workflows and preparing challenge questions for stakeholders.
- Draft, review and obtain sign-off for process documentation, operating model outputs, workflow designs and other implementation artefacts.
- Provide hands-on support for Aladdin configuration, including template review, workflow validation, data input review and configuration sign-off.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), pilot phases, parallel runs and go-live activities, including defect triage, issue ownership, resolution tracking and business readiness tasks.
- Act as a key coordination point between portfolio managers, traders, investment risk teams, compliance, technology teams and external vendors to ensure smooth delivery.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, present solutions and secure agreement on changes to processes and workflows.
- Maintain disciplined project delivery practices, including regular status updates, risks and issues tracking, and dependency management across workstreams.
- Collaborate closely with technology and implementation teams to ensure that Front Office needs are accurately translated into system configuration and technical solutions.
- Contribute to operating model transformations and front-to-back platform migrations, ensuring that Aladdin capabilities are fully leveraged to support investment management objectives.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within Front Office, portfolio management, trading, investment risk or investment platform transformation in an asset management environment.
- Proven experience with BlackRock Aladdin implementations, upgrades, operating model transformations or front-to-back platform migrations.
- Strong understanding of investment workflows across one or more of the following: equities, Fixed Income, derivatives, multi-asset portfolios, cash, benchmark management, analytics and risk processes.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare for and lead business process review workshops, including current-state assessment and target-state workflow design.
- Proven capability to draft, review and secure sign-off for process documentation, operating model deliverables, workflow designs and implementation artefacts.
- Hands-on experience with Aladdin configuration, including templates, workflow validation, data input review and configuration approval.
- Strong knowledge of UAT, pilot, parallel run and go-live support, including defect triage, issue ownership, resolution tracking and business readiness activities.
- Ability to work directly and effectively with portfolio managers, traders, investment risk teams, compliance, technology teams and external vendors.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including workshop facilitation and clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solid project delivery discipline, with experience in providing status updates and managing risks, issues and dependencies.

- Background in investment management or asset management, with familiarity with Front Office technology and platforms.

- High level of attention to detail when reviewing data inputs, configuration templates and process artefacts.
