Hours: 40 hours per week. Core working hours Monday-Friday (8:30am-5:30pm) with occasional Saturday working (9:00am-1:00pm)
About the Role
We're growing our Credit Control Team and looking for confident, detail-orientated individuals who enjoy building positive relationships with customers while ensuring timely and effective cash collection.
Alongside delivering exceptional customer service, you'll also play a key role in helping customers manage their accounts and take payments, providing ongoing support whether they have a payment question, need help with their account, or want to explore what else we can offer them.

What you will be doing
Payments & Account Support
• Act as a first point of contact for payment enquiries, account queries, and general customer support, providing clear, accurate information.
• Process payments, set up direct debits, and maintain accurate ledger status.
• Agree suitable payment arrangements where required, delivering a supportive and customer-focused experience.
• Apply or remove account restrictions in line with company process when required, handling these conversations with sensitivity.
Customer Service & Relationship Management
• Handle a high volume of inbound calls from customers with professionalism, warmth, and empathy.
• Identify and maximise upselling opportunities to introduce customers to additional products where appropriate, whilst capturing and sharing customer feedback with relevant teams.
• Accurately record all customer interactions, actions, and outcomes within the CRM system.
• Redirecting customer queries where suitable, keeping customers informed to ensure timely and effective resolution.
• Proactively support colleagues and the wider team with collaborative problem-solving.
What we are looking for
• Proven experience in a customer service, credit control, or customer-facing role.
• Experience in a billing, payments, or accounts-related environment is advantageous, though not essential, as full training will be provided.
• A strong communicator who enjoys building positive customer relationships and can confidently navigate sensitive conversations.
• A proactive problem solver with excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify effective solutions for customers.
• Comfortable discussing financial matters, including bills, account balances, payments, and payment arrangements, with confidence and professionalism.
• Technically confident and comfortable navigating multiple systems and tools.
• A supportive and dependable team player who takes initiative and embraces new challenges with enthusiasm.
