Sub Agent

Carmichael UK is working in partnership with a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering one of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure projects at Hinkley Point C.

We are currently seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join a high-performing delivery team responsible for the safe and successful execution of major civil engineering works. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on a nationally significant project that will shape the UK's future energy infrastructure.

• Support the Project Manager and Agent in the delivery of construction works.
• Manage site activities to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Produce and review RAMS, ITPs, and construction programmes.
• Monitor progress, report on performance, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and health & safety requirements.
• Manage temporary works, permits, and site documentation.
• Support commercial and contractual requirements, including change management and cost control.
• Drive a positive safety culture across the project.

• Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience working as a Sub Agent, Senior Section Engineer, or equivalent.
• Strong background delivering major infrastructure, nuclear, highways, rail, or heavy civil engineering projects.
• Experience managing engineering and delivery teams on large-scale construction projects.
• Sound knowledge of NEC contracts.
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
