Could you jointly lead an organisation with bold ambition to end homelessness in Bristol - and put inclusion at the heart of how you lead? This is a rare opportunity to share leadership, accountability and impact for an ambitious, independent charity working towards a simple but powerful vision: 'No one is homeless in our city'. We're looking for a Co-Director to take the lead on Finance, Fundraising and People functions. Location: Hybrid, Bristol (60% onsite, open to negotiation where adjustments may be required) Salary: £54,550-£61,245 FTE, depending on experience Contract: Permanent, 0.8-1.0 FTE (30 or 37.5 hours) You'll also receive 33 days' annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata if part time), flexible working, an enhanced 5% pension contribution, an individual learning and development budget, clinical supervision and group reflective practice. As a that charity believes everyone should be treated with dignity, respect and fairness, we're committed to building a diverse and inclusive organisation where people feel they belong and can thrive. We're looking for a Co-Director who will champion equality, diversity and inclusion through organisational culture and practice - someone who values lived experience, listens to different perspectives and creates a safe, supportive environment where people can do their best work. You'll join at an exciting point in the charity's development, sharing leadership of an organisation that believes homelessness is not inevitable and is working across the city to prevent it, respond to housing emergencies and create lasting change. About the role This definitely isn't your everyday, run-of-the-mill Director or CEO role. You'll have a unique opportunity to co-create and collaborate on your own leadership model, alongside the existing Co-Director, with joint responsibility for strategy, performance and culture. Taking a lead on finance, fundraising, people and HR, internal operations and governance, you'll make sure people, systems and resources are working effectively to deliver on mission and maximise impact. You may have taken a less conventional route into leadership. We really don't expect you to tick every box. We're looking for senior leadership experience, the ability to build a sustainable organisation with strong income and people foundations - plus a genuine passion for developing inclusive, high-performing teams. But just as importantly, we want to understand how you lead. What matters most is your leadership style, values and desire to end homelessness. Inclusion really matters We know some groups are under-represented in our workforce, and we're committed to changing that. We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of homelessness and those from backgrounds under-represented in the charity sector. We're committed to making recruitment inclusive and accessible. We can offer flexible working and reasonable adjustments throughout the process, and if written applications don't allow you to show your strengths, we're happy to accept audio or video responses too. Interested? If you're excited by the chance to help create a Bristol where no one is homeless, we'd love to hear from you. And if you're thinking "I'm not sure I'm the typical candidate" - please don't let that stop you getting in touch. To register your interest, a CV or draft profile is a great first step. You can send this to Amelia Lee at Charity People directly through the application channel on this website, or just get in touch to request the full job pack. Closing date: 9am on Monday 14th September Interview dates are currently being agreed, likely to happen early-mid October. We evidence our commitment by matching charity needs with the skills and experience of candidates irrespective of background e.g. age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. We do this because we believe that greater diversity leads to greater results for the charities we work with.
