ServiceNow Solution/Platform Architect - Data Architecture & CSDM

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Solution/Platform Architect to lead a strategic ServiceNow data architecture and CSDM transformation within a major UK public sector organisation.

The role will focus on strengthening CMDB, CSDM, data governance and platform architecture, while preparing ServiceNow for future AI, automation, IAM, ITAM, ITOM and Enterprise Service Management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the target-state ServiceNow data and platform architecture and architectural standards.
• Assess and improve CMDB maturity and CSDM adoption, including CI structures, relationships and service dependencies.
• Define authoritative data sources, data flows, mastering rules, lineage and transformation requirements.
• Establish ServiceNow data governance, ownership, stewardship, RACI, data quality and retention standards.
• Ensure the platform is ready for ITOM, ITAM, IAM, AI Search, Virtual Agents, workflow automation, SPM, BCM and ESM.
• Review ServiceNow licensing and identify current usage, unused capabilities and modernisation requirements.
• Provide architectural guidance to senior stakeholders, platform owners, process owners and governance boards.

Essential Skills

• Strong ServiceNow Solution/Platform Architecture experience.
• Proven CMDB and CSDM transformation experience.
• Strong ServiceNow data architecture and governance experience.
• Experience across ITSM, ITOM, Discovery, Service Mapping, ITAM/HAM/SAM.
• Experience with IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, APIs, ETL and enterprise integrations.
• Strong data architecture skills including data modelling, MDM, data quality, lineage and metadata management.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with IAM, endpoint management and asset management platforms.
• Public sector or highly regulated environment experience.
• Strong stakeholder and governance experience.
• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) - essential.
