About the Role
Our client, a market-leading aerospace manufacturer, is seeking a PLM Engineer with experience in Data migration to join our engineering team in Slough and take ownership of a major product data migration project.
This is not a traditional IT or cloud-based Data Engineering role. The position is focused on the management, preparation, validation and migration of engineering and product data, including 3D CAD models, technical drawings, PDFs, Word documents and Excel files, into a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
You will play a key role in transforming and organising legacy engineering data, ensuring it is accurate, structured and ready for migration into the company's PLM environment.
This would suit someone with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Data, CAD, PLM, Product Data Management or Data Migration, who enjoys working with technical information and solving data quality and organisation problems.

Essential Experience
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of a defined work package.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Desirable Experience
Experience with one or more of the following would be advantageous:
PLM / PDM systems, such as 3DEXPERIENCE / ENOVIA, Siemens Teamcenter or PTC Windchill.
CAD databases or engineering document management systems.
CAD models and technical drawings.
Engineering change/configuration management.
Data migration or legacy data transformation projects.
Power BI or other reporting tools.
Scripting or automation to improve data management processes.
You do not need to come from a traditional IT Data Engineering background. Candidates with strong mechanical/engineering data, CAD, PLM, PDM or product data experience are encouraged to apply.
