THE ROLE
As an Experienced Skilled MET Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out the safe removal, repair, and refitting of mechanical, electrical, and trim components on a wide variety of accident-damaged vehicles. Working to manufacturer repair methods, you'll ensure every vehicle is repaired efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Remove and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles
Diagnose damaged components and identify additional repair requirements
Carry out repairs using manufacturer-approved methods and industry best practices
Complete vehicle strip and rebuild operations to support the repair process
Work closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, and Vehicle Damage Assessors to ensure efficient vehicle progression
Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer specifications, BS10125 standards, and company quality procedures
Carry out quality checks before vehicle handover to ensure repairs meet exceptional standards
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment while following all Health & Safety and COSHH procedures
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced and quality-focused MET Technician who takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship and consistently producing high-quality repairs.
Previous experience as an MET Technician within an automotive accident repair centre or bodyshop
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and trim vehicle systems
Experience carrying out vehicle strip, repair, and rebuild procedures
Ability to interpret manufacturer repair methods and technical information
Ideally IMI and/or ATA qualified (advantageous but not essential)
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to first-class workmanship
Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment while meeting productivity targets
Positive team player with excellent communication and organisational skills
Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to delivering outstanding customer satisfaction
Full UK Driving Licence required
