The plant area is alive with inspiration, expert advice and enthusiastic gardeners making the most of the changing season.

There s nowhere better to be.

The Person

We re looking for a Horticultural Manager who thrives in this environment.

You re passionate about plants and love sharing your knowledge with both customers and colleagues. You enjoy helping people create beautiful gardens while taking equal pride in developing a team that delivers exceptional standards. Helping others grow is just as rewarding as nurturing great plants.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity where you ll take ownership of a thriving plant department. With the support of an experienced business behind you, you ll shape the product range, maintain outstanding retail standards, and lead your team through every season of the gardening calendar.

  • Selecting and merchandising high-quality plants from trusted growers
  • Leading, coaching and developing a small, enthusiastic team
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of plant care and presentation
  • Delivering knowledgeable, inspiring customer service
  • Driving commercial performance through effective seasonal planning and stock management

In return, you ll receive a competitive salary, bonus potential and a benefits package, alongside sociable working hours. Weekend working is part of the role, but you ll enjoy every other weekend off giving you time to enjoy your own garden too.

The Company

You ll be joining a well-established and growing UK garden centre business with a strong reputation for quality and customer service. Financially secure and committed to investing in its people, the business continues to invest in its future and offers genuine opportunities for career progression.

  • Passionate about horticulture
  • A confident people leader
  • Commercially aware with strong retail instincts
  • Customer-focused and committed to high standards
  • Looking to build a long-term career within a successful business

If you re ready to lead a busy plant department, inspire a team, and help create an outstanding destination for gardeners throughout the year, we d love to hear from you.
