Residential Support Worker

We're looking for three dedicated Residential Support Workers to join the team at JGS - John Greenwood Shipman Centre, a vibrant and specialist short breaks service for children and young people aged 5-18.JGS - John Greenwood Shipman Centre, Farm Brook Court, Billing Brook Road, Thorplands, Northampton NN3 8UW37 hours per week 3-month contract Shifts include days, nights & weekendsAbout the Children We Support: Children attending JGS may have:

• Severe learning disabilities
• Autism, ADHD, or dual diagnoses
• Mild physical disabilities and complex behaviours associated with their conditions

We provide highly structured, safe, and nurturing short breaks to support children's development and give families valuable respite.About the Home: JGS is a 6-bed short breaks service located in a quiet residential area of Northampton, specially designed to meet the complex needs of children and young people.Facilities include:

• Sensory room & soft play area
• Themed child-friendly bedrooms
• Smart TV lounges & computer gaming room
• Accessible bathrooms & Jacuzzi bath
• Enclosed garden and outdoor play areas
• Kitchen & dining spaces for independence & socialising
• Minibus for off-site activities

Your Role as a Residential Support Worker:

• Deliver safe, person-centred care within a structured environment
• Support with personal care, daily routines, and social development
• Promote independence, inclusion, and positive relationships
• Engage children in fun, meaningful activities on-site and in the community
• Work flexibly across a rota covering days, nights, and weekends

• A caring, patient, and resilient approach
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy residential setting
