Child Protection Social Work

Job Title: Child Protection Social Worker Location: Sandwell, West Midlands Pay Rate: Up to £33.30 per hour (Umbrella) - based on experience Contract: Full-Time Temporary (Ongoing) Hybrid Working Immediate Start Available

Are you an experienced Social Worker passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? Sandwell Children's Services are looking for a skilled Child Protection Social Worker to join their frontline safeguarding team and help drive positive outcomes for children at risk.

• Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need plans, and care proceedings

• Undertake comprehensive assessments, including S47 enquiries and court reports

• Develop and implement robust care plans that ensure children's safety and wellbeing

• Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and professionals

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on case management systems

• Attend and contribute to case conferences, reviews, and court hearings

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience in child protection or safeguarding

• Strong understanding of relevant legislation and statutory guidance

• Confident in handling complex caseloads and risk management

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)

• Car driver with access to own vehicle (preferred)

• Competitive pay up to £33.30 per hour (Umbrella), depending on experience

• Supportive team environment and regular supervision
