ESOL tutor

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ESOL lessons to individuals or small groups

• Assess learners' needs and progress, adapting teaching methods accordingly

• Support learners in developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills

• Prepare learners for ESOL exams or progression into further education or employment

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievements

• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

• CELTA, CertTESOL or Level 5 ESOL qualification (essential)

• Experience teaching ESOL to adult learners (community, FE, or private sector experience welcomed)

• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills

• Cultural sensitivity and a genuine passion for teaching and learner success

• Ability to work independently and flexibly

• Experience working with refugees, asylum seekers, or migrant communities

• Ability to deliver online lessons (via Zoom, Teams, etc.)

• Multilingual or experience learning another language
