Considering a future in secondary teaching and eager to gain valuable classroom experience?
We are currently recruiting enthusiastic, confident, and reliable individuals to work as Cover Supervisors in a range of local secondary schools. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to gain first-hand school experience before pursuing a PGCE or similar teaching qualification.
Ideally, you will hold a degree or equivalent qualification but all applications will be considered.
A fully enhanced DBS will be required.
The Role Includes:
- Leading the classroom in the teacher's absence
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons
- Maintaining classroom engagement and behaviour
- Managing handover and reporting back to the regular teacher
- No marking or planning required
Ideal for Candidates with Experience in:
- Sports coaching
- Youth work
- Drama, Art, or Music workshops
- Summer camps or holiday clubs
- Scouts/Guides/Cubs/Brownies
- Outdoor activity instruction / Duke of Edinburgh Award
- Any experience working with young people (minimum 2 months)
