We're proud to be working in partnership with Knowsley Council to recruit passionate and experienced Social Workers for their Child Protection team.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage a manageable Child Protection caseload, ensuring all work is focused on improving outcomes for children and young people
  • Undertake child protection investigations, assessments, and direct work with families in complex situations
  • Develop and implement robust care and safety plans, ensuring timely interventions and effective multi-agency collaboration
  • Work closely with schools, health professionals, police, and partner agencies to safeguard and support children
  • Prepare and present reports for court proceedings, case conferences, and statutory reviews
  • Promote child-centred, strengths-based practice, empowering families to make sustainable changes

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • Experience within a Child Protection, Safeguarding, or similar statutory social work team
  • Court experience and confidence in preparing and presenting professional reports
  • Social Work England (SWE) registration
  • A BSc or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Strong communication skills, emotional resilience, and a genuine passion for protecting vulnerable children.
