We re seeking a motivated Nursing Home Manager / Care Home Manager to lead our friendly and well-established home in Southampton, driving excellence in care, compliance, and quality outcomes.
About the Role
As a Nursing Home Manager / Care Home Manager, you ll take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the delivery of safe, person-centred, high-quality care. You ll use your leadership and turnaround expertise to improve standards, develop CQC reports, and guide your team to deliver an outstanding resident experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong, visible leadership as the Nursing Home Manager / Care Home Manager, promoting a culture of quality and compassion.
  • Lead and deliver effective turnaround strategies to move services from Requires Improvement to Good or Outstanding.
  • Develop, write, and submit high-quality CQC reports and action plans.
  • Manage budgets, staffing, compliance, and operational excellence as a proactive Nursing Home Manager / Care Home Manager.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, regulators, and community partners.
  • Drive occupancy, customer satisfaction, and continuous service improvement.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Nursing Home Manager / Care Home Manager within elderly or nursing care settings.
  • Successful track record of turning around homes and improving CQC ratings.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC compliance, governance, and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Skilled in developing CQC documentation, audits, and improvement plans.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.
  • Nurse qualification (RGN/RMN/RNLD) preferred but not essential for the right Nursing Home Manager / Care Home Manager.
  • Passionate about delivering person-centred care in a supportive, values-driven environment.
