Job Description

The role of Production Support Operative is to increase our labour capacity within the company and across two key departments

Assembly & Finishing and Injection Moulding as to reduce overall production lead -times and improve customer satisfaction during a time of increased order demand.

The role requires an ability to process repetitive production processes whilst maintaining a good eye for quality and compliance to part specification s.

These processes can include: inspection of incoming goods from sub - contractors, sub -assemb ly such as o-rings & gaskets , gluing of moulded components, drilling/reaming processes, counting & packing of finished items, unloading mouldings from tooling after forming, trimming moulding waste, installing fixing inserts, counting & packing of moulded items, and general housekeeping of working area s.

The position will require a mix of independent working and working within a team depending on the specific production requirements.

Sub -assembly of moulded components such as with o -rings, gaskets, springs or other mouldings.

• Assembly of moulded components with high strength adhesive s and/or screws .

• Inspection of incoming goods from sub -contractors , i.e. painters, chrome platers.

• Maintain throughput of Injection Moulding production, including, but not limited to, monitoring raw material levels, clearing hoppers of moulded components, trimming waste (gates & sprues), installing brass fixing inserts (in -mould, screwed or head -staked) , counting & packing of finished components.

• Closely monitor quality standards and immediately flag any issues to the department Cell Leader.

• Support the Cell Leader where required such as moving goods between departments .

• Maintain good levels of housekeeping within department.

• Assist other departments such as Printing if required in order to support priority demands.

• Comply with all Health & Safety standards and procedures, including COSHH.

• Ability to process repetitive tasks without losing focus on quality and accuracy.

• Keen eye for detail.

• Flexible approach to working to support a mix of production tasks within department.

• Previous experience of assembly within a manufacturing company an advantage, but not essential.

5 Days per Week Monday to Friday Hours: 07:00 to 19: Hours per Day 60 Hours per Week

or

07:00 to 15:30 8 Hours per Day 40 Hours per Week
