Qualified PE Teacher Required SEND Secondary School in Sittingbourne
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time (until at least Christmas) potential for extension
Supply Desk are delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming SEND secondary school in Sittingbourne, seeking a committed and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified PE Teacher (QTS) who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.
Whether you have taught in mainstream or specialist settings, if you can inspire, motivate, and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of all learners, we d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons tailored to students individual needs and abilities.
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and personal achievement through physical activity.
- Support students with SEND/SEMH to build confidence, resilience, and a love for sport.
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure positive outcomes for all students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Physical Education (or related subject).
- Experience teaching PE or working with secondary-aged students.
- An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, teaching students with SEND or SEMH needs.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for promoting health, fitness, and well-being.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to Work in the UK and two professional references covering the last two years.
