Company Introduction:
We are currently seeking to recruit experienced Civil operatives in the UK. Under the direction of the Manager & Site supervisors, applicants will be required to perform excavations, repairs and reinstatement, installation of duct, street cabinets, pulling of draw rope on telecoms infrastructure located within the public highway, streets and up to customers premises using up to date client standard operating procedures and in full compliance to current legislation, health and safety requirements and company policies.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives:

• Perform general civils and maintenance tasks, including trench excavation, duct laying and repair, and back-filling.
• Operate machinery and tools such as generators, jack hammers, compactors, cable detectors, petrol saws, drills, shovels, pickaxes, trowels, and hammers.
• Maintain a tidy site and care for tools and equipment.
• Assist the site team with various tasks and ensure safe working practices.
• Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with health and safety policies.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Use approved equipment and protect utilities before digging.
• Submit accurate paperwork promptly.
• Pavement reinstatement, slabbing and tarmacking
• Wear PPE: high visibility clothing, hard hats, safety glasses, boots, and gloves.
• Manage spoil on site and complete risk assessments.
• Have understanding on civil and telecoms ground work is necessary
• Experience with Openreach network and fibre network work is essential
• Laying fibre cable from cabinet through the track work
• Range of practical tasks including excavating/digging trenches, placing and compacting bedding material, laying and jointing/repairing ducts

• SA006 (Mandatory)
• NRSWA O1 TO O8 (Mandatory)
• Q019 (Mandatory)
• Q020 (Mandatory)
• SA004 (Mandatory)
