HR Advisor

Tonbridge 35,000 - 40,000 per annum

Full-time, office-based

Lloyd Recruitment Services is delighted to partner with a respected organisation, who are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their established team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and knowledgeable HR professional to take ownership of a standalone generalist role, supporting both management and employees across all aspects of HR. You'll play a key part in maintaining a positive, inclusive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation.

Duties of the HR Advisor:

  • Maintaining and updating HR policies, procedures, and the staff handbook
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant employment legislation
  • Acting as the main point of contact for HR queries from staff and management
  • Supporting recruitment activities, including interviewing and issuing offer letters and employment contracts
  • Conducting reference and right-to-work checks
  • Managing employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, maternity, absence, and leaver administration
  • Providing guidance on employee relations matters such as disciplinaries and conflict resolution
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR databases
  • Supporting performance management, appraisals, and payroll information
  • Monitoring salary benchmarking, holiday, absence, and overtime records
  • Assisting with health and safety policy updates and compliance
  • Staying informed on legislative changes and best HR practice

Key skills/experience:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification
  • Previous experience in a standalone HR generalist position
  • A solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters
