Description
- Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently within the accounting system.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and execute payment runs in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to address queries.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
- Contribute to process improvements within the accounts payable function.
Profile
A successful Purchase Ledger Assistant should have:
- Demonstrated experience working in a finance related role.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- An understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
