Procurement Category Manager - IT Software

The successful candidate will manage the procurement and strategic sourcing of software and IT services, ensuring alignment with company objectives and optimizing cost-efficiency.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement category management strategies for IT software procurement.- Lead negotiations with vendors to secure competitive pricing and favourable contract terms.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.- Conduct market analysis to stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies.- Manage supplier relationships, performance, and compliance with contractual obligations.- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in software procurement.- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.- Proven experience as a Category Manager in IT software within a global manufacturing environment.- Strong knowledge of software procurement, licensing, and contract management.- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.- Ability to analyse data and market trends to make informed decisions.- Strong project management skills and ability to work collaboratively across global teams.- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software tools.Preferred Skills:- Experience with cloud-based software and SaaS models.- Certification in supply chain management or procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM).This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the software procurement strategy on a global scale, ensuring our manufacturing processes remain efficient and cost-effective.
