Senior Architectural Technician

Location: Warwickshire

Salary: £40-45,000 DOE

A well-established architectural practice based in Warwickshire is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join their growing team. The studio is renowned for delivering projects across a diverse range of sectors, including heritage, education, hospitality, leisure, and community buildings. Their portfolio combines sensitive conservation work with contemporary design, always maintaining a commitment to quality, context, and innovation.

The successful Senior Architectural Technician will play a key role in the technical delivery of projects from concept through to completion, working closely with architects and consultants to ensure design intent is fully realised.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading on the preparation of detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction packages

  • Coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure design, programme, and quality objectives are achieved

  • Managing technical aspects of projects across multiple sectors

  • Ensuring all work meets building regulations, standards, and best practice guidance

  • Providing technical support and mentorship to junior team members

  • Contributing to the development of BIM and Revit standards within the practice

The successful Senior Architectural Technician will bring:

  • Extensive experience working as a Senior or experienced Architectural Technician within UK practice

  • Strong technical and detailing skills, with a thorough understanding of construction and materials

  • Proficiency in Revit and other relevant design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.)

  • Experience working on heritage or conservation projects is highly desirable

  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities, with confidence liaising across disciplines

  • A collaborative mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
