  1. Mental Health Support Worker (Children & Adults)

Location: Carlisle and West Cumbria Area

Hours: Flexible - Long Shifts

Access to Own Car Required

Support Worker - Carlisle

Role Summary: You will be supporting an adult male with learning disabilities on a 2:1 basis, helping him live as independently as possible at home and in the community. This role requires the ability to assist with de-escalation when he is feeling ?frightened.

Support Worker - Workington

Role Summary: This is a 2:1 support package for a young male with learning disabilities and complex needs. You will support him with daily activities in the community as part of his education plan.

Shift Pattern: 09:00 - 17:00

Note: A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.

Support Worker - Penrith & Carlisle

Role Summary: We have openings in both Penrith and Carlisle. You will provide care and support to adults with a range of needs including learning disabilities, complex needs, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions. The focus is on promoting independence at home and in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to children and young people with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions.
  • Engage in activities designed to improve the social, emotional, and developmental well-being of the young people.
  • Offer respite care to families, providing them with much-needed support and relief.
  • Work with families to ensure their children's needs are being met in a compassionate, safe environment.
  • Provide support on a flexible basis, with shifts ranging from 1-3 service users per day and some short calls (some calls could be 3-4 hours).
  • Document and report on the progress and needs of the individuals in your care, ensuring all safeguarding guidelines are followed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health conditions is essential.
  • Must have a full driving license and be able to travel across the Cumbria area
  • PEG Feeding trained or willing to undergo training with us
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and the wider support network.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing different caseloads efficiently.
  • A genuine passion for improving the lives of young people and their families.
  • Evening availability to support families and service users during those times.
  • Right to work in the UK with no working time restrictions

  1. Band 3 Healthcare Assistant (HCA) - Carleton Clinic

An excellent opportunity has opened for a Band 3 HCA at the Carleton Clinic Hospital (CNTW), Carlisle. Join a dynamic team and provide vital support within a hospital setting. We offer highly competitive pay rates and the chance to work in a supportive environment.

Role: Band 3 HCA

Location: Carleton Clinic Hospital, Carlisle

Umbrella Pay Rates:

Days: £15.83 per hour

Nights/Saturdays: £18.40 per hour

Sundays/Bank Holidays: £24.20 per hour

Essential Requirements for Clinical Roles (HCA):

  • Minimum of 6 months of recent UK experience in the NHS or Private Hospital setting
  • A valid Right to Work in the UK (we are unable to offer sponsorships)
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service
  • A full record of immunizations (BCG, MMR, Hepatitis-B)
  • Training required- BILD certified PMVA Course and Classroom Mandatory Training
