About the Role
We are seeking a highly driven Internal Business Development & Account Manager to join our fantastic client in the West Midlands.
My client specialises in the Metals & Engineering industry. You ll be responsible for managing and growing existing accounts while also generating new business opportunities from within. If you re passionate about forging strong relationships, have a hunger to succeed, and want a role where your efforts directly influence success, this is for you!
What You ll Do
- Manage and nurture a portfolio of existing clients in the metals sector, ensuring satisfaction and retention
- Identify and pursue new business leads and cross-selling opportunities within target markets
- Handle enquiries, prepare quotes, and convert prospects into orders
- Work closely with external sales, operations, and production teams to coordinate order fulfilment
- Maintain detailed CRM records of customer interactions, pipeline, and performance
- Meet and exceed agreed sales targets, KPIs, and growth objectives
- Provide market feedback, competitor analysis, and suggest strategies for growth
What We re Looking For
- Proven experience in account management, business development, or internal sales, ideally in the metals, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
- A strong relationship builder confident, personable, and excellent at maintaining customer loyalty
- Highly driven, self-motivated, with grit and determination to hit targets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Organised, with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Comfortable working in a target-driven environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM tools advantageous
