Specialist Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Do you have experience working in a high school setting and want to make a real difference in students' lives? Do you have experience working in a medical/healthcare setting?

We are currently supporting a successful and popular secondary school in the Wirral to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a student with specific medical and personal care needs in school. The role is expected to begin after October half term and on a long term basis.What you'll need to succeed

• Medical care experience, ideally with knowledge of feeding tubes and feeding safety
• Experience supporting students with SEND, particularly around communication and emotional health needs
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting young people
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Hays)
