We are currently recruiting for a Civilian Investigator to work on a full-time, long-term contract in Newlands Park, London.
The role is initially for a 6 month period, with a view to be extended.
The role is paying 20.98p per hour (PAYE)
The role will be situated within a Police Force, so applicants must be able to obtain national security vetting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review historic and recent DPS investigations involving allegations of Domestic Abuse or Sexual Misconduct by Police Officers or Police Staff.
- Produce Briefing Notes and reports for review by NPCC Officers and senior stakeholders.
- Re investigate cases as directed by the Senior Investigating Officer (SIO).
Essential Criteria:
- Previous investigative experience.
- Recent experience in a public protection environment.
- Flexible approach to work and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Strong report writing and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Understanding of:
- Police Conduct Regulations
- Police Reform Act
- Police (Complaints and Misconduct) Regulations
- Police (Performance) Regulations
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience handling complaints and misconduct.
- Safeguarding experience (essential).
- Intelligence background.
- SOIT training.
- Sapphire training or casework experience.
- Experience working on complex investigations.
