Electrical Engineer

Join our team as an Electrical Engineer and work on diverse industrial projects across the UK. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in industrial electrical systems, including installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of OEM machinery and other industrial equipment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Carry out electrical installations for OEM machinery, conveyor systems, and other industrial equipment.
- Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on both new and existing systems.
- Support bespoke machinery builds and site-based installations.
- Interpret and work from industrial electrical schematics.
- Build and wire electrical control panels to specification.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health & safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
- Work both at our Tredegar workshop and on customer sites across the UK.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience with 3-phase system installation and distribution.
- Expertise in motor control wiring, VSD fault finding, and control and safety systems.
- Proficiency in cable containment systems and termination.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with pneumatic control systems (installation and fault finding).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage own workload.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
- EAL Level 3 or equivalent.
- AM2 Assessment.
- BSth Edition Wiring Regulations (required).
Desirable Skills:
- Ability to fault find on PLCs using software tools.
- Basic mechanical understanding for assisting during breakdowns.

Working Hours:
- Standard 40-hour week (08:00-16:00), with flexibility required.
- Overtime regularly available and expected depending on workload.
- Occasional night work, weekend work, and overnight stays are expected.
