Shift times: Monday to Friday 5am - 7am starts (minimum 8-hour shifts)

Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.

We're looking for Class 1 Days Drivers to join us at our site in Banbury on a temporary basis. Though this is a temp role initially, candidates who get on well will be considered for permanent roles if this was sought after.

Typical shifts start times are between 05:00 & 07:00 and the shifts will typically last between 10-12 hours. All trailers are loaded by the distribution centre and are unloaded by the client - so there is typically no manual handling involved.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Multidrop deliveries of household cleaners (no ADR required) between customer sites across England (includes London so must be happy travelling through / around this area).
• Ensuring all loads are strapped securely to transport
• Remove curtains for the customer to unload as required
• Ensuring all manual and digital paperwork is signed as needed
• Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards.
• Vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA.

What you need to succeed with our client

• Must have a multidrop experience and a minimum of 2 years HGV experience
• HGV1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
• A can-do attitude
• Must be able to pass an onsite assessment
