Town Planner

Job Title: Town Planner Location: Leicestershire

An established and well-respected Planning Consultancy in the Midlands is seeking two motivated professionals to join their growing Planning team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative business of over 800 people, offering diverse and challenging projects across a range of sectors.

About the RolesThe practice is recruiting for two positions within its Planning Department:

• One focused on strategic planning projects, including residential, commercial, and retail development.
• The other centred on infrastructure and energy projects.

Both roles offer the chance to lead on high-quality and innovative planning schemes, with responsibilities including:

• Undertaking site appraisals and preparing planning applications.
• Liaising with clients, consultants, and local planning authorities.
• Managing projects and mentoring junior team members.
• Preparing planning reports, site submissions, and representations.
• Attending meetings, negotiating outcomes, and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Supporting wider business development and cross-divisional collaboration.

About You

• MRTPI qualified (or working towards qualification).
• Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of the UK planning system and commercial awareness.
