Join our school office team as a School Office Administrator in Birmingham. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a people-facing role and thrives in a busy, supportive environment where relationships and community are central. Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage attendance matters efficiently, including reporting absences, contacting parents for absence reasons, and managing leave requests during term time
  • Liaise with the pastoral team to support student wellbeing, including accompanying home visits
  • Greet and interact with parents and visitors, representing the school's ethos with warmth and professionalism
  • Maintain a welcoming and efficient front office environment, ensuring all enquiries are handled with care and attention
  • Support general administrative duties to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a school office environment
  • Familiarity with Arbor (not essential - training can be provided)
  • Experience with FMS (financial platform of SIMS - not essential, training available)
  • Handling attendance matters: reporting absences, contacting parents, managing leave in term time, liaising with the pastoral team, and supporting with home visits

Availability:

  • Monday: 08:00 - 12:30
  • Tuesday: 08:00 - 17:00
  • Wednesday: 08:00 - 16:30
  • Thursday: 08:00 - 12:30
  • Friday: 08:00 - 12:30Flexible on timings except mornings and Tuesday
