Electrician - Fixed Wire Test Engineer

Location: Glasgow Base Salary: £39,000 Average Earnings: Circa £56,322 (including on-call, overtime, weekends & paid travel time) Hours: 40 per week (8am-4pm) + Out-of-Hours (OOH) work when required Company Vehicle: Fully maintained van for personal and partner use

We're expanding our team and looking for a qualified Electrician to help deliver compliance and remedial electrical work across a wide range of commercial environments-from retail and hospitality to hospitals, prisons, schools, and government buildings.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Conduct inspection and testing of customer electrical installations, including EICRs, emergency lighting tests, fire alarm inspections, mains analysis, thermal imaging, and minor remedial works as required.
  • Accurately complete all associated reports and certification using our cloud-based software.
  • Ensure timely submission of all inspection and testing documentation and certificates.

? What You'll Need:

  • AM2 and SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) - minimum requirement
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition - can be provided by the company
  • City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 & 2395 - training available for the right candidate
  • Full UK manual driving licence (held for at least 12 months, max 6 points)
  • SJIB/JIB card
  • Good IT literacy and understanding of workplace H&S regulations
  • IPAF and PASMA - desirable but not essential
