Vivid Resourcing are looking for an Interim Year End Accountant for a Local Authority in the South of the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to contribute strategic financial guidance and insight during a time of organisational transformation.

Role:

Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting, financial analysis, reconciliations, and the preparation of statutory financial statements. You ll work closely with the Finance Manager to support the completion of group reports and external audit requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Producing and analysing monthly management accounts and board reports.
• Coordinating financial data across departments for group reporting.
• Preparing and reconciling balance sheet accounts and bank reconciliations.
• Processing transactions.
• Managing auditor queries and maintaining detailed audit files.
• Supporting treasury and banking administration.
• Monitoring internal controls and identifying process improvements.
