Job Description

Are you an experienced Tutor who thrives on helping young people reach their potential? We're looking for passionate individuals to provide personalised tuition to learners with a wide range of needs, from Primary age through to Post-16.

This role offers flexibility, allowing you to work part-time or full-time during school hours (Monday to Friday). You'll be delivering bespoke sessions in English and Maths, tailored to each learner's unique profile.

Who You'll Be Supporting:

Our learners may have a variety of needs, including:

  • Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
  • Autism (ASD), ADHD, PDA
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Global Learning Delay
  • Trauma and medical conditions
As a Tutor, you will:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised English and Maths sessions.
  • Support learners with a broad spectrum of additional needs.
  • Adapt your teaching style to suit individual learning goals and challenges.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with learners and their families.
  • Maintain professional standards and uphold safeguarding responsibilities.
About You:
  • You have experience working with learners who have SEN and complex needs.
  • You're confident in creating and delivering tailored educational content.
  • You're flexible, empathetic, and committed to inclusive learning.
  • You're available during school hours, Monday to Friday.
  • You're reliable, professional, and passionate about making a difference.

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide references upon request
  • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
