We are seeking a Senior Science Technician who is an expert in Chemistry practicals and well-versed in Biology and Physics practical's for A-Level and BTEC Level 3 qualifications. This role requires a proactive individual who can lead and manage a team of technicians, ensuring that practical's are set up correctly and efficiently.
Day-to-day of the role of a Science Technician:- Lead the setup and preparation of practical experiments for Chemistry, Biology, and Physics at A-Level and BTEC Level 3.
- Ensure that all practicals are prepared in accordance with educational standards and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with teaching staff to plan and execute practical lessons effectively.
- Manage and train other science technicians, promoting best practices within the team.
- Attend and assist during practical sessions, providing technical support to students and staff.
- Maintain and organise laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring that all materials are available and in good working condition.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the role of a Senior Science Technician:- Proven experience as a Science Technician, with a strong background in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.
- Experience leading a team of technicians in an educational setting.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a laboratory environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
