Tradewind Recruitment is working inclusive and supportive secondary schools in Camden that are seeking Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team after half term. These are fantastic opportunities for a caring, patient, and motivated graduate who wants to gain first-hand experience supporting young people with additional needs - ideal for those considering a career in teaching, psychology, or educational support.

The Role

As a Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide dedicated one-to-one support to a student aged 11-16 with special educational needs (such as autism, ADHD, or social, emotional, and mental health needs).

  • Build a positive, trusting relationship to help the student feel confident and supported both in and out of lessons.

  • Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials and resources to meet individual learning needs.

  • Encourage engagement, focus, and independence during classroom and enrichment activities.

  • Offer emotional and academic support to help the student achieve their full potential.

About You

We're looking for graduates who are:

  • Passionate about supporting young people and promoting inclusive education.

  • Empathetic, resilient, and confident in building meaningful relationships.

  • Strong communicators with a proactive, can-do attitude.

  • Graduates from Psychology, Education, English, Science, or similar subjects are encouraged to apply.

  • Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary) is desirable but not essential.
