Job Description

We are partnered with a boutique asset manager, based in London, who is seeking a talented Finance Manager to take full ownership of their finance function. Duties:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports in strict adherence to IFRS standards.
  • Deliver detailed financial analysis and performance commentary directly to senior leadership teams to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across UK and US entities, providing ad-hoc reporting, modelling, commentary, and variance analysis as required.
  • Manage all aspects of operational finance including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll coordination, general ledger maintenance, journal postings, cash management, cost allocations, and treasury functions.
  • Maintain and continuously improve financial controls and procedures to ensure robust governance across all finance operations.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and lead the preparation and coordination of the annual audit process including timely delivery of schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Respond effectively to audit queries and implement recommendations arising from audit findings to enhance compliance and efficiency.
  • Implement and optimise accounting systems, processes, and reporting tools with a focus on driving automation and operational efficiency throughout the finance department.
  • Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives and business planning while collaborating with other departments to support organisational goals.

What you bring:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • 2-4 years+ proven experience in finance functions within asset or investment management firms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel enabling complex data analysis and modelling for effective decision support.
  • Demonstrated expertise using Sage accounting software for efficient financial operations management.
