What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Cost Consultant, you will:
Provide accurate cost advice and reporting to clients.
Deliver projects, commissions, and professional assignments.
Lead commercial management services with limited supervision.
Take a leading role within the team and foster a collaborative, innovative environment where talent thrives.
Maintain effective communication to ensure all information is available for successful project completion.
Deliver all work outputs accurately and on time.
Liaise with other managers to ensure good resource allocation and efficient financial control.
Support team leaders in the cost management of projects.
Represent the organisation professionally - meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships.

What You'll Bring
To be successful in this Senior Cost Consultant role, you should have:
A BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
Chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
Awareness of sustainability requirements, carbon reduction, carbon assessments, and option studies.
Strong data skills, including cost analyses, benchmarking, dashboards, and smart reporting.
Experience in both public and private sectors - ideally across new build, cut & carve, refurbishment, and fit out (offices, healthcare, residential, hospitality, major projects, government, leisure, or retail).
Pre- and post-contract experience.
Proficiency in CostX or other cost planning software.
Excellent technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills.
A well-organised, diligent, proactive, and commercially astute approach.
A positive, collaborative, and adaptable attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
