This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a forward-thinking Production Engineering team in Worthing, supporting the reliability, performance, and improvement of cutting-edge manufacturing operations.

Job Overview

Respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns and process failures, diagnosing faults and restoring production functionality.

Deliver preventative and reactive maintenance programs across production equipment, robotics, and plant machinery.

Identify and implement opportunities for risk reduction and process improvement within manufacturing.

Supervise and develop direct reports, including work allocation, performance appraisals, and training.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth operation of all systems.

Support weekend and late-shift work as required to maintain critical manufacturing uptime.

Requirements

Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent time-served experience.

Minimum 5 years' experience in machine maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

Proven experience supervising and managing team performance.

Confident in mentoring and supporting junior employees and apprentices.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.

Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine shop equipment.

Familiarity with CNC machinery, robotics, and electromechanical systems advantageous.

08:00-17:00 Monday-Friday (1 week in 7 there would be a late shift required of 12:00-21:00)
