What you'll do:

  • Organise complex work information meticulously to ensure accuracy and completeness throughout all settlement processes.
  • Address and process escalated customer transaction requests and inquiries with empathy and professionalism, providing solutions or escalating issues when necessary.
  • Research discrepancies in transactions or records thoroughly, resolving issues independently or referring them to management as appropriate.
  • Prepare, check, and dispatch invoices to clients within required timelines, maintaining clear communication and documentation at every stage.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all transactions, ensuring proper documentation for future reference and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee daily metals settlements and process customers' metal transfer requests efficiently, ensuring seamless execution of trades.
  • Update financial systems and inventory systems accurately for all trades and transfer requests, retaining related supporting documents for audit purposes.
  • Ensure all shipping documentation and generated invoices are complete and compliant with regulatory standards before dispatching.
  • Build effective relationships with internal teams such as Middle Office, Front Office, Technology, as well as external stakeholders including custodians and clients.
  • Work independently on a range of complex tasks that may involve unique situations requiring thoughtful problem-solving.

What you bring:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in metals operations or financial services combined with a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of products, services, processes, and controls within the business unit related to metals trading.
  • Advanced proficiency in standard desktop applications such as Excel along with department-specific systems and applications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management principles and regulatory requirements applicable to metals settlements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail enabling you to manage multiple simultaneous requests without compromising accuracy.
  • Proven ability to organise tasks effectively within environments characterised by competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service through considerate communication and prompt resolution of client inquiries.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills allowing you to interact clearly with diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong team skills that foster positive working relationships across departments.
