SEN Teaching Assistant Wanted - Join Our Supportive Secondary School in Newham!

We are seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive secondary school in Newham, starting immediately.

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Start date: Immediate
Contract: Term-time only
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Location: Newham, East London

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to support students with a range of special educational needs. You'll help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can achieve their potential - academically, socially, and emotionally.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, speech & language, and learning difficulties)

• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and differentiated learning activities

• Help students engage in class and develop independence and confidence

• Monitor and record progress, feeding back to teachers and the SENCO

• Promote inclusion and positive behaviour throughout the school day

• Has experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or SEN setting

• Is patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting students with additional needs

• Has good communication and teamwork skills

• Can remain calm, flexible, and positive under pressure

• (A relevant qualification or experience in SEN is desirable but not essential)
