Reliability Engineer - Cheltenham - Permanent (Hybrid)

About the Role:

We're seeking a motivated Reliability Engineer with around 2-3 years of experience to join a forward-thinking aerospace engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of product performance analysis, reliability reporting, and obsolescence management supporting both current projects and future innovation.
You'll work across multiple teams to ensure products meet the highest standards of reliability and performance, using your analytical skills to identify trends, prevent issues, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce and present reliability and obsolescence reports using data from a variety of sources.
Conduct detailed analysis, including failure categorisation, MTBF/MTBUR calculations, and trend identification.
Monitor early warning indicators to help reduce warranty and repair costs.
Lead product obsolescence reviews and provide actionable recommendations.
Support engineering and programme teams with technical analysis and feedback on risks, progress, and improvement opportunities.
Contribute to forecasting and modelling for future business initiatives.
Communicate technical findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

What We're Looking For:

A degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or scientific discipline.
2-3 years of experience in reliability, systems, or product engineering ideally within aerospace or another high-integrity industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data and analysis tools.
Confident communicator able to present technical information clearly and effectively.
Collaborative mindset, with a proactive approach to driving improvement and results.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with obsolescence management or reliability analysis processes (e.g. FRACAS).
Familiarity with project or programme management practices.
Strong data visualisation and reporting capabilities.
